The interview process had 2 steps and was finished in about 1.5 months. First, I interviewed with the Hiring Manager, then with HR about a week later. I got the contract a week after the HR interview. There was a big gap of about 30 days between the two interviews. The environment was really positive.

I traveled from Bangalore to the Pune Technology Center for the interview. Although the actual interview was only about 1.5-2 hours, it took up the whole day. I had already shared my salary expectations before coming to Pune, but during the discussion, the HR mentioned that I was expecting too much. It was unclear to me why they proceeded with the interview if my expectations were too high. Additionally, they mentioned that travel expenses would be reimbursed equivalent to train fare. However, even after months since the interview, the reimbursement has not been processed, and the HR person has not responded to any emails.

First, there's an online test that checks your aptitude, logic, and verbal skills, and sometimes basic programming or tech MCQs. It's to see how you analyze and solve problems. Then, a technical interview with questions on C, C++, Java, OOPs, DBMS, OS, and Data Structures. They might ask about your projects or for small coding tasks. For example, 'Explain inheritance with example,' or 'Write a program to reverse a string.' An HR interview follows, focusing on your communication, confidence, and personality. They'll likely ask things like, 'Tell me about yourself,' 'Why do you want to join Knorr-Bremse?,' 'What are your strengths and weaknesses?,' and 'Are you willing to relocate?'. Finally, they decide based on your overall performance and technical understanding. If selected, you'll get an offer letter and details for joining.
