Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Knorr-Bremse.
Engineer
The interview process involves checking if your basic and technical knowledge is solid. They'll also assess your technology updates and knowledge, and your Autosar and automotive domain knowledge. You'll need to discuss the architectural layer and protocols used in the automotive industry.
- Can you tell me about the projects you've completed and the technologies you used?
- Do you have any basic questions?
Engineer
Got a call from a consultancy, then went through a telephonic interview for 45 mins. After that, I had a face-to-face with the Manager, followed by a Matlab hands-on interview. Then I interviewed with the Director for Railway, and finally, an HR interview. Everyone was really enthusiastic and the conversations were thoughtful. They asked a lot about my past experience and education. The HR person was a bit rude, but overall it was a good experience because I got the offer.
- Could you discuss your current project?
- Tell me about your experience.
- What is your educational background?
Project Engineer
I applied speculatively and was contacted for an interview. The recruiter asked personal questions and was very pushy and insistent. In the end, the recruiter suggested that since I'm an energy engineer, the company might not be a good fit because it's more mechanical.
- What are your motivations for wanting to join this company, and what specific roles are you interested in?
