Technical System Design Coding

It was about two weeks total. First, there was a screening interview. Then, a technical interview with some systems design and some javascript specific questions, and I met with peers and team leads. After that, I had a take-home assignment. Finally, I had meetings with leadership.

Applied online via LinkedIn. Recruiter reached out about a week later. Had a very generic 30-minute initial interview with HR. They asked basic questions like 'how did you hear about us' and 'why do you want to work here'. The HR person didn't seem very knowledgeable about the company, just described the number of teams and their sizes, and whether they had managers. They also mentioned 3 engineers are independent, which was odd. They said I'd hear back in 3-4 days, which is unusual since typically engineering reviews resumes before an intro call. Never heard back.

The process started with a take-home assignment where I had to build upon a provided Node.js and React starter code. Following that, I had several short interviews with other engineers, a product manager, and the engineering manager. The final step was a meeting with an HR representative.
