First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Knock.
Talent Sourcer
I initially applied for a role and interviewed with the Head of Talent & Culture for 30 minutes virtually. Then, I had a 30-minute virtual interview with a Recruiter. Although that specific role went to someone else, Knock reached out about a different opportunity, the Talent Sourcer position. The Head of Talent & Culture sent me a take-home task to assess my skills for this role. After completing the task successfully, I interviewed with the Co-Founder & CEO for 15 minutes virtually. The whole process was very quick, happening within 11 days. They were super responsive and the people were great. Knock really impressed me by considering me for other roles even after the first position was filled, which is rare. They followed through on their promise to stay in touch.
- Can you discuss your relevant experience?
- How do you maintain organization in your work?
- Which software or tools are you proficient in?
Collections Specialist
The interview process started with a phone screening with the recruiter. This was followed by a conversation with the controller. Then, there were 3 more rounds of interviews with the accountant, the co-founder, and the controller again. I asked the recruiter what to expect in the final interview, but they didn't get back to me, which was a bit rude. The final interview itself went okay, mostly behavioral questions. They said they had more interviews to do and would let me know in a week, but the next day they emailed to say they were considering candidates with more relevant experience. It's an entry-level role, so I'd think product knowledge and skills would be as important as experience, but maybe not since I didn't get the job! Anyway, it seems like a good company with a good team.
- Can you tell us about yourself?
Software Engineer
Applied online via LinkedIn. Recruiter reached out about a week later. Had a very generic 30-minute initial interview with HR. They asked basic questions like 'how did you hear about us' and 'why do you want to work here'. The HR person didn't seem very knowledgeable about the company, just described the number of teams and their sizes, and whether they had managers. They also mentioned 3 engineers are independent, which was odd. They said I'd hear back in 3-4 days, which is unusual since typically engineering reviews resumes before an intro call. Never heard back.
- How did you find out about Knock?
- Can you tell me about your current work responsibilities?
Product Director
The entire process from start to finish was great. It felt very structured, and the recruiter was excellent at informing me about each step of the way. I was never left wondering what was going on, as happened at so many other interview loops I've been on. Everyone I met was knowledgable and transparent. An excellent and super professional interviewing experience.
- Can you share an example of a product launch you're particularly proud of?
