So I had 8 rounds in total, the last one was with 2 VPs, I think it was because 2 teams were interested in me. There were 2 technical rounds and one with 2 team managers. The VPs asked what I'd bring to the team and then tried to lowball me, saying they didn't think I was senior with 7 years of experience and that other candidates would take less, and it wouldn't be fair to the team. They sent a rejection email after. I'm not mad about the rejection itself, that's fine if they can't afford me or if I didn't perform well. But I am upset about the lowballing and making my experience seem less valuable, and also wasting my time. I told the recruiter my expectations on the first call, and she confirmed midway that the managers were okay with it, only for the VPs to lowball me at the end and reject me. Really wish they hadn't wasted my time. Oh, and I talked to some engineers on the teams, and they're looking to leave and would jump ship if they could, so I guess it was a bullet dodged.

Applied online and got a call to schedule a test interview for the next week. The test involves writing an in-house created test that focuses on algorithm and SQL query skills. The experience was good, and the instructors were approachable. I didn't advance, mainly due to concepts not being fresh in my mind. If I took it again, I'd do great. It seems like a good company.

Went through a basic web skills test first, then had a chat with the head of the department and the person who would be my team lead. The interview part was mostly about personality.
