Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Klick.
Marketing Analyst
Shortly after I applied, I was invited to a video interview via Knockri. I decided not to proceed because I feel interviews ought to be a two-way street, where candidates can also ask questions. My view is that if this is the best way a company can present itself during an interview, then I don't want to move forward. I understand that hiring can be tough for recruiters and managers, but I think it would be better if they could dedicate some time to having actual two-way interviews instead of starting with a video interview.
- What were two behavioral questions asked on Knockri?
Marketing Analyst
I had an in-person interview with the Director of Analytics. We talked about my background and how it fit with Klick, and they asked for specific examples of my analytical work. After that, I was given a case study to complete, which I scheduled for the following week. It took me most of that week, working after hours, to finish. If you're new to the digital space like I was, you'll need to be comfortable with unfamiliar data types. Then, I presented my case study findings to a panel consisting of an Analyst, a Manager, and a Director. They asked some follow-up questions based on the case study, focusing on my assumptions and how I reached my conclusions. I received an offer two days after the presentation, though that might be quicker than usual since I let them know I needed a decision quickly.
- Tell me about a time you analyzed data and reached a conclusion.
- Describe an instance where you researched data and arrived at a conclusion.
Marketing Analyst
First I had a call with HR to schedule an interview with the Director. Then I had a 2-hour interview with the Director, which felt a bit awkward and unnecessary. About a week after that, I was given a case study to complete and present to the team, which took me about two weeks. Honestly, for this role, it felt like a waste of my time.
- Tell me about your future aspirations.
- Describe your strengths and weaknesses.
- Explain your process for achieving goals.
