Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kleinfelder.
GIS Analyst
The interview process wasn't too intense, and it gave me a chance to show off my skills and what I'm interested in. There were about 5-6 people interviewing me, but they were all really nice and weren't trying to trick me.
- Can you give an example of how you've used GIS to help with a task in your current role?
Civil Engineer
I applied online and had a phone interview. The HR person asked a lot about my civil engineer experience, which I didn't really bring up. I wish they'd read my resume first. Otherwise, the process was good, they were nice and helpful, even giving job hunting advice. If your experience fits, it's worth a shot.
- What civil design experience do you have?
- Do you have experience on mining sites?
Environmental Engineer
I was found on indeed by a recruiter who called me first to see if I was interested in the role. Then I had an interview on Teams with two senior staff members. It went well, so they scheduled a second in-person interview. After that, they asked for my references. I waited two weeks and then heard from the recruiter that they were ready to make an offer, but then nothing happened for another two weeks. I reached out again, but they ghosted me.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your experience?
