Software Engineer
I applied for the Software Engineer II job in November 2024, and it was remote. First, I had an online assessment on CoderPad. It had three parts: backend questions, frontend questions, and a test plan. That's all I did.
- There was a LeetCode-type question that was really long and took a lot of time to read, and I had to write the solution in C#.
Software Engineer
So I went through an agency for this role. There were only two stages: a coding assignment and then a 1.5 hour call which covered both team fit and technical aspects. I got an offer super fast and they've been really proactive in keeping in touch to convince me to join the company.
- Could you explain what a constructor is?
- Can you define what a promise is?
- What is an outer join?
Software Engineer
First, they had me write a program and submit it. Then, I had a two-hour interview which was made up of four 30-minute interviews. This was all done remotely because of COVID. I thought the interview went okay and I really liked the company. BUT, they ghosted me and I never heard back even after I followed up. I thought this was ridiculous for a company of their size.
- One part was supposed to be a technical question about designing an anagram calculator, but it wasn't clear how to do that over Zoom.
