First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Klarna.
CRM Manager
I went through a pretty long, 9-step interview process at Klarna. It was pretty interesting because I met with more senior people at each stage, and everyone was really helpful. One of the steps was kind of intense – an IQ test done over a live video call with screen sharing. Overall, the experience was good, but I was bummed about the salary offer at the end. It was less than what I'm making now, even though I told them my salary expectations upfront. Because of that, I turned down the job, feeling like the whole thing was a bit of a waste of time since they didn't communicate clearly about the money part from the start. They should really sort out the salary talk earlier in the process for future candidates.

Delivery Manager
The interview process was good, quick, and structured with fast feedback, usually the next day. It started with a Kattis test, followed by a call with a talent acquisition specialist. Then there was a supervised Kattis test, after which I had to complete a case study. This was followed by a behavioral interview and a skills interview that involved role-playing. The final stage was a team fit interview. All the interviewers were nice and professional, and the overall process left a good impression. Although I really wanted to work at Klarna, I didn't make it past the final interview.
- In your opinion, what role does Klarna play for its partners?
Manager
I actually had a really good time with the interview process, everyone I talked to was great, especially the recruiter! The only thing I didn't love was having to do the recorded logical reasoning test again. I had to prep a case study which was interesting and doable in the time given. My issue is with the salary though - it's totally unclear, and the salary expectations question in the first call was just a formality. They didn't bat an eye at my expected salary then, but after a bunch of interviews, they told me the salary was like half of what I wanted. It would've been way better to know the salary range upfront so I didn't waste my time on multiple rounds. Because of this, I turned down the offer.
