First, I had to introduce myself for about 10 minutes. Then, there was an easy coding question that I had to print in the Zoom chat box. After that, some theoretical questions about imaging processing came up, followed by workflow designs. The whole thing wasn't easy, but it felt friendly. Lastly, they asked me questions about the company.

I was quite disappointed with what happened to me at the end of 2024 when I participated in the selection process for the Mechanical Project Engineer position for the new Piracicaba-SP unit. First, an HR Analyst contacted me, spoke briefly about the job, and scheduled an initial interview with her. I passed, and the following week I had an interview with the Area Coordinator, which I also passed. Two weeks later, I had a third interview with all the sector employees at the Brazil level, which gave me a lot of hope because I received positive feedback and passed. Two weeks after that, I was called for a fourth and final stage, which was a personal interview with the Coordinator at the Piracicaba-SP unit and a SolidWorks Simulation test, where the area employees were also present online. I managed to complete it and was highly praised by the Coordinator and the team. Afterward, the Coordinator practically said the job was mine. I thought I would start 2025 on a high note and shared it with my family, who were very happy. After two turbulent years, I would be returning to a great company with values. However, after this last interview, the famous RH silence began. I thought they would reply the following week, but three to four weeks passed with no news. So, I decided to reach out. She saw the message but didn't even reply. A week later, she responded with a blunt message stating I was in the final process, which gave me hope. But a week after that, I received a standard automatic email from Klabin's HR saying the position had been canceled. Since then, my life has been in turmoil. Besides being burned and laid off from my previous job due to leaving early and being absent to attend the Klabin process, I'm facing significant financial difficulties and haven't been able to find a decent job since. I didn't sue the company because I never received an official invitation letter confirming the job was mine. Here's a tip: never leave a sure thing for something uncertain.

The interview had two main parts: a personal presentation and a written essay. In the presentation, I could talk about my work experience, skills, and abilities, highlighting important parts of my career. This part checked my communication, confidence, and how comfortable I was speaking. Then, the essay tested how well I organize, clarify, and connect my ideas, and my ability to build arguments objectively and structurally. Both parts were important to see if I was a good fit for the role.

I applied for an open position on Linkedin. The company's People and Management Analyst first contacted me on December 30th. I was on vacation at the beach, and she scheduled an online interview for January 2nd. In this initial interview, we discussed my professional experiences, my genuine interest in the role, and my availability to relocate to the region. After this conversation, on January 5th, she contacted me to schedule an interview with the hiring manager for the next day. It was a relaxed conversation; we talked again about my professional career, and the manager asked some questions about my current job. After the interview with the manager, I never heard back from the company, not even with negative feedback. I reached out twice more asking for information and received no further response.
