I interviewed with Kittelson and the process was pretty straightforward although time consuming. I initially met with two recruiters. I reached out again to one of the recruiters and was asked to write a 2ish paragraph summary of experience talking with them, and then after that was sent meeting details for an interview with a potential mentor in one of their offices. I then met with that interviewer. The interview was mainly me asking them questions about the company. Afterword I wrote another summary of the experience.

They conduct three interviews where you speak with employees, not just HR. I think this is because they have a really collaborative company culture. The employees I talked to were super nice and enthusiastic about Kittelson.

The interview process started with an initial screening call with two employees. About two weeks after that, there was a mentorship call, which felt like a panel interview, involving three mentors from the internship program. These interviews were pretty conversational, and they really encouraged you to speak up and ask questions. The main goal seemed to be assessing if I was a good fit and understanding my interest in transportation and the company. I'd definitely recommend researching Kittelson and their values. It's also important to think deeply about why you like transportation and what you aim to do in that field. After each interview, they asked for a written reflection to be sent back. It felt a little more involved than some other interview processes I've gone through.
