Four interviews are required for an offer: a phone screening, a "core values" interview, a "job-specific" interview, and a final CEO interview. Interviews are spaced 1-2 weeks apart, leading to a long wait time for feedback. I was rejected after two interviews. The interview process itself was quite enjoyable, and the staff seemed friendly and approachable. Expect many STAR method questions.

I applied to Kipsu back in late 2020 and the whole thing took over a month. It started with a quick phone screen with HR, which was super friendly and standard. After that, I had a 1-hour video call with situational questions, like 'tell me about a time when...'. Then came a take-home assignment, which was supposed to take 2 hours but I ended up spending about 4 on it. Following that, I had two more 1-hour video interviews. The first was more situational questions, and the second was a technical review of the project I submitted. Everyone was really professional and nice. About a week after the interviews, I followed up with Kipsu. No response, so I followed up again a week later. That's when they told me they went with other candidates whose experience was a closer match to their tech stack. They said they'd keep my info and I'd be the first in line for future roles and would reach out, but I never heard anything back. While everyone was polite, it left a bad feeling to get to the end of the process and have to chase them for a rejection email.

Behavioral Technical Case

The interview process was good. I got approached on LinkedIn by a recruiter who was nice and asked me for feedback on their process as well! After chatting with him on the phone, and making sure we are on the same page with what both the company and I wanted, I was interviewed by 2 of Kipsu employees who only checked for my "culture fit" and asked me typical questions about how I manage challenges, conflicts, etc. After that, I was sent a project to complete within a week. The project was mainly about designing a solution and didn't have coding in it. They give us a week to finish that project but say that it should take about 4 hours only. However, like many other reviewers, the project does take more than that - about 8 hours. After I sent out the project I was called for another interview with the CTO and a Project Manager. They gave me feedback on my project and asked me questions on how I came across the solution. They only asked me what was their in my resume - how much experience I had with the technologies.
