It was a one-sided video interview where I had to record myself answering questions. I only had a minute to think and then record the answer, with just one re-take allowed. It felt very dystopian, with no opportunity to ask questions. I'm also unsure what will be done with the video of my face and voice.

I've applied to KIPP four times now, and each time I've gotten to the one-way interview stage. They send you a link to record yourself answering some questions. It's happened every single time that I've been ghosted after that, with no communication or follow-up at all. Their communication is really bad, so don't expect anything once you get that one-way interview.

It's quite a long process. First, there's a 15-minute screening call. Then, we move to a 30-minute in-depth questioning session. In between those, you'll need to submit your resume, references, and a video of yourself teaching. The next step is an in-person interview where you'll write a lesson plan, teach that lesson, and then get a tour of the school.
