Behavioral Presentation

I've applied to KIPP four times now, and each time I've gotten to the one-way interview stage. They send you a link to record yourself answering some questions. It's happened every single time that I've been ghosted after that, with no communication or follow-up at all. Their communication is really bad, so don't expect anything once you get that one-way interview.

They will reach out if you are a good fit. Then ask you to do a free lesson plan example and grade a college admission letter. Do not follow through. It seems they are looking for free work or ghosting people. Very unprofessional and lack of respect for teachers.

This nearly three month long interview process was a complete waste of my time. It began with a video interview submission that received no feedback for about a month. Then, I got a feeler email asking if I was still interested, which I was, but again, no response for weeks. After I followed up, I got scheduled for a "final interview" with the team. This involved an in-person assessment and then an in-person interview with leadership. I went to their corporate office for the assessment, which basically involved sending a mock email and organizing an Excel list within a time limit. During the in-person interview, I pointed out that their assessment was missing crucial information that would prevent me from fully answering the last question. I was then rushed to submit three professional references. After submitting them, I was promised an update the following week. Over two weeks later, I received an automated email stating they weren't moving forward with my application. It was an awful experience.
