Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

The interview process spanned about four weeks and was very pleasant. The team was easy to talk to and there was no pressure, giving a fantastic impression of the company culture. It started with an initial chat with HR, followed by an assessment to determine your fit for the role. Then, there was a two-hour interview with various team members, which included a mock cold call. Finally, a 30-minute interview with the senior head of sales concluded the process.

The whole thing took about a month, but probably would've been faster if the interviews weren't so spread out. I applied on April 13th and had a 30-minute HR screening call on the 25th. After that, I got a quick assessment that was actually pretty fun. Once I passed that, HR sent me to the hiring manager. We talked for about an hour about my background and experience. Then, the very next day, I had a final interview with the CCO. I really thought I'd get an offer after that one, haha. But a week later, I got an email saying they weren't moving forward because of really strong competition that had prior experience in the industry. Honestly, I feel like they should have brought this up at the very beginning with the recruiter because the hiring manager and his boss didn't mention any concerns when I asked them directly, so it was a total shock. Super disappointing and felt like I was led on. Still, it was a good experience meeting some of the team.

The interview process was really nice and went smoothly. After I applied, HR contacted me within a few days for an interview. Then I had another interview with the COO and the Head of Support. Although they mentioned they wouldn't move forward with me at that moment, they said they'd keep me in mind for future openings. About a month later, they reached out to start the job. They were super patient and flexible, making my job transition the best I've ever experienced. Everyone I interviewed with was exceptional and friendly, and I felt really comfortable throughout. Such awesome people.

Applied, it took them about 3 weeks to get back to me to schedule a phone screen. I was waiting at the scheduled time and after about 15 minutes, I decided to reach out to the recruiter I was supposed to be talking with. Turns out they forgot to put it in their calendar and wanted to reschedule. When I did get to talk to someone, they couldn't share much about the role and it seemed like there wasn't great internal communication within the recruitment team. When they tried to set up a second round, I said no thanks and mentioned the lack of professionalism. Funny enough, about a week after I declined, I got an automated email from Kinsta saying they weren't moving forward with my application. Weird company.
