When the recruiter contacted me they set up a virtual interview. If I made it past this section I would meet with the larger team, also virtually. From there, I wait for further information.

After I applied, I got an interview. The current Director spent the whole time complaining about her team and the company. When I asked how long she'd been there and why she chose it, she just ranted for another twenty minutes about what she didn't like. She did mention she manages hiring for the whole area and said someone from the schools would contact me. I called after a week, and she said she was still working on it, but I never heard back.

Behavioral

The interview process was pretty straightforward. They mainly wanted to hear about my experience in team building and staff management. It felt like a lot of the actual day-to-day responsibilities of the role weren't fully explained upfront. Once I accepted, the job turned out to be a lot of smaller tasks and I felt more like a general helper than a manager.
