First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at KinderCare Learning Companies.
Corporate Recruiter
The process was straightforward and clear. I had a couple of interviews. They made sure I knew who they were and their specific role. Instructions were simple for moving forward in each stage of the hiring process. They made room for any questions I had.
- In what ways did your past positions prepare you to work as a recruiter in the education sector?
Analyst
I had 4 interviews lined up: one with HR, another with the hiring manager, and then two with team members. The recruiter was a bit of a mess, though. She kept messing up the dates and times for the interviews, so I had to reschedule a bunch. The last time she called, it was an hour late, and I missed it. Never heard back from her, no rejection or anything.
- Tell me more about your previous work experience.
Assistant Director
After I applied, I got an interview. The current Director spent the whole time complaining about her team and the company. When I asked how long she'd been there and why she chose it, she just ranted for another twenty minutes about what she didn't like. She did mention she manages hiring for the whole area and said someone from the schools would contact me. I called after a week, and she said she was still working on it, but I never heard back.
- What is your experience length in ECE?
Project Manager
The recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn. Initially, it was a pleasant interaction. Then the hiring manager interviewed me. After that, I heard nothing for two months despite my attempts to get updates. They completely ignored me, which I found disrespectful. I am a professional and expect the same respect. After two months of being ignored, I received a generic rejection email. In hindsight, I'm glad I didn't get the job because I saw their benefits, and they are terrible. The health insurance is extremely expensive and covers almost nothing.
