Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kinaxis.
Front End Engineer
Started with me giving a quick intro. Then they showed me a React code snippet using TypeScript and asked me to go through it line by line, pointing out any mistakes or ways to make it better. After that, they hit me with some fundamental questions about React, Javascript, and CSS. Finished up with some behavioral questions.
- Can you tell me about the difference between padding and margin?
- What's the distinction between useState and useRef in React?
- When the dependency array for the useEffect hook is empty, what occurs?
Front End Developer
I had an experience interview. They gave me a project to build, with a week to finish it. Then I had to present it to the engineers and discuss my methodology. I got a quick callback. They asked me some questions about how I would add features to the project.
- What are your previous experiences?
- Do you have any technical questions?
- How would you approach adding new features to the project?
Front End Developer
The interview process was easy, but I was disappointed because I received zero feedback even after passing all the rounds. This might reflect the company culture.
- Tell me about Java.
- Tell me about React.
- Tell me about TypeScript.
