My experience interviewing with Kimley-Horn was great. It started with a recruiter call and then there were two formal interviews. Everyone I spoke with was approachable and enthusiastic about their work, and they made me feel comfortable sharing my experiences while learning more about the firm’s collaborative environment.

After meeting Kimley-Horn at a university career fair, I was invited to apply online for roles I was interested in. I had a chill phone interview, and then got to visit the office that liked my profile. I had two 40-minute interviews there, one with the boss and one with the director, to learn about the team. Then, we had lunch at a sushi place with some newer hires. Talking to them gave me a good feel for the company culture and what it's like to work there. I got an offer the next day and start next year.

HR reached out about jobs. Started with a phone screen about my interests. Took 2 months to hear back for a phone interview. It went well. Another month passed, then I got an in-person interview. They asked about me, my interests, and projects. After a month and a half, I followed up. HR wanted to talk and said I'd be a better fit for another department since I wanted to switch disciplines. Still waiting to hear back about that. Communication was really bad and slow. HR was inefficient and it felt like they didn't value my time. If they saw me as an asset, my best fit shouldn't matter. The whole process was poorly managed and the outcome was bad.
