Awful place to work. Toxic management and unfathomable working conditions. Frequently messed up pay or forgot to pay me for 4 whole months. Had to chase payroll for months only for them to stall pay.

I arrived at Kiko Venice and had the interview in a very small storage room. First, there were the usual introductory questions (for example, since I'm a student, they asked me why I chose this field, etc.). Then it moved on to a slightly more technical phase. Finally, they told me that since I didn't have experience, they would possibly offer me an internship with expense reimbursement.

The interview was super simple. I met the hiring manager at a coffee shop near the store. She asked me to introduce myself, talk about my makeup experience, how I apply it, and my customer service skills. You don't need to be a makeup expert, just know a bit about the products you'll sell. They prefer a natural makeup look because that's what the brand represents. They need to know if you're flexible to work nights, holidays, and other times, as they won't hire you if you're not available for these shifts.
