First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kiehl's.
Customer Service Representative
Had a brief chat with the recruiter. They asked me some easy questions about my background in skincare and retail, and about the company's products. It wasn't super intense, and they seemed more focused on how I communicate with customers than anything else.
- Have you used any Kiehl’s products before?
Customer Service Representative
Since I was referred by a former employee, I sent in my resume and cover letter and then got called in for an interview. I spoke with a manager and an assistant manager who asked me a bunch of questions, some from a binder and some they just thought of. I think I had two interviews. It actually took a really long time from the interview to the job offer to actually starting. They also had to do a background check and I had to take a drug test.
- Could you describe your skincare routine?
- Which product lines do you use?
Customer Service Representative
I applied online and heard back about 2 business days later for an online interview with the store manager, thanks to a referral from a former employee. This was my first interview, and I was invited to a second round immediately after. The next interview, scheduled in 2 days, will include both the store manager and the regional manager.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What's your availability like?
- Have you used a cash register before?
