Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kiehl's.
Customer Representative
They called me and we scheduled an interview easily for the next week. After doing the interview, they told me they needed someone with a little more experience. Overall it wasn't a struggling interview process.
- Describe how you would manage a crisis situation.
Customer Representative
I applied through a recruiting company for international and duty-free airport stores. The process was straightforward but took a while. First, there was a webcam question system with generic questions. After a couple of weeks, I had a phone interview where the questions were simple and open-ended. We also did a role-playing exercise and had a good chat. About a week later, I found out I was moving on. The final stage was an in-person interview focusing on schedule and availability. I got the job offer on the spot.
- What is something you wouldn't want a customer to do?
Customer Representative
I applied in person at the store and got a very quick email response to schedule an interview to be held in the store. The questions asked were fairly easy. There were other people interviewing before me, so I got a chance to meet the coworkers, who were very sweet and nice.
