Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kids in Need of Defense.
Intern
The process was really responsive and friendly. They were looking for people who were passionate about the work they do at KIND. It seems knowledge of Spanish is highly encouraged, at least in my experience. Overall, a great experience!
- Tell me about any experience you have working with vulnerable populations.
Intern
I had a lengthy phone conversation with two attorneys who are representatives. They inquired about my professional capabilities and my Spanish language proficiency. Additionally, they asked about my prior experience in client interviews and drafting legal documents.
- Could you elaborate on the case highlighted in your cover letter?
Intern
I had 2 interviews before getting the position. Pretty standard questions, nothing too difficult: asked about myself, my background and why I was interested in KIND. Asked about prior experience and how I could contribute to the company.
- Why do you want an internship at KIND?
