I had a phone screen that started right on time. The questions were super generic, and the interviewer mostly just asked more questions without saying much else. They kept taking notes even after I finished speaking, creating awkward silences. It was also hard to hear them, even with my volume maxed out. When I mentioned I couldn't understand, they responded defensively, asking if I didn't understand their questions. Looking back, they also got my previous employer wrong, misreading my resume. It was a really dry and uncomfortable 15 minutes, lacking any real conversation or insightful questions, and I don't think either of us were impressed.
