First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kforce.
Software Engineer
There was an online test that was a mix of coding and MCQs. It usually has technical MCQs and 1 or 2 coding problems, often in a web-based IDE. The MCQs cover basics and advanced stuff like Data Structures, Algorithms, OOP, SQL, and language specifics for Java, Python, etc. For coding, they usually ask about Data Structures & Algorithms like HashMap (GET/PUT), array stuff (like pushing zeros), strings (sliding window, reversal), and linked lists. Sometimes you have to debug or refactor a small function.
- coding question about balanced parentheses and MCQs about balanced parentheses
Software Engineer
The interview process was quite disorganized. The recruiter seemed unaware of the interview stages and didn't prepare me for them, even saying there would be 3 rounds when there were actually 5. They also mixed up interview dates. The salary offered for the SF-based role was extremely low, suggesting a need to live with parents. This company is a waste of time. For a frontend role, they had me solve a medium LeetCode problem, which felt inappropriate.
- Solve the LeetCode problem for Longest Absolute File Path (medium difficulty).
Software Developer
So I interviewed with iconectiv in Piscataway, NJ. KForce helped me get the interview. Before the actual interview, I had a chat with the hiring manager for about 30 minutes. He told me about the company, his team, and what the job involves. The interview itself was in person. I met the hiring manager and the project lead, who ran the technical part. He asked me about my past experience and skills. Then he asked some questions about Core Java, Struts, webservices, and Oracle database. They weren't too hard, pretty beginner level stuff. We all felt it went well. The hiring manager then discussed the next steps and my potential start date. I got the job offer the same day through KForce.
- Can you tell me about the skills you have used previously?
- Could you answer some questions about Core Java?
- What about your experience with Struts?
