Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Keystone.
Economist
The first interview round involved two parts: presenting my job market paper and then working through a case study. This case was based on a real case the interviewer had previously worked on.
- Can you give me the regular job market spiel?
- What methods would you employ to tackle this problem?
- Think about common causal inference tools.
Economist
The interview started with me introducing myself. Then, I presented my job market paper for about 10 minutes. The interviewer asked some follow-up questions about the paper. After that, they asked if I had any questions about the company or economic consulting. The overall vibe was pretty relaxed.
- Tell me about yourself and why you're interested in economic consulting and this specific company.
- Could you elaborate on your job market paper?
Economist
The process involved three rounds. First, an HR representative contacted me for some basic background questions. The second round was an interview with one of their economists, covering behavioral aspects, a review of my resume, and one case study.
- What motivates your interest in Keystone?
- What draws you to consulting?
- Can you suggest ways to boost a company's profitability?
