Manager
The interview process was pretty standard and went through a few rounds. Everyone was nice and things seemed fine, but then I got ghosted. I tried contacting them for updates a bunch of times, and the recruiter actually told me to ask someone else for an update? Like, isn't that their job?
- Tell me about standard questions related to this role.
Management Associate
I found out about the Management Associate Program at my university's career fair and submitted my resume. I got a call that same day for a brief 20-minute recruiter chat. After not hearing back for a couple of weeks, I was contacted about a month later and invited to an interview at their Seattle office. The Seattle visit involved 4 separate interviews with different Vice Presidents. Three of these were behavioral, focusing on my personal attributes and how I'd fit the program, with some questions touching on banking industry trends. The last interview was a role-play where I had to sell either a cell phone or a student checking account. I chose the checking account and felt it went well. They told us it was the final interview and we'd hear back within a week. A week later, a recruiter called and offered me the job! Overall, it was a really nice experience. I was nervous initially but got comfortable and enjoyed the interviews. My advice: be yourself, get comfortable with the interviewer, and always try to connect your work experience to their questions; they seemed to appreciate it.
- Describe a time you faced a difficult dilemma.
- Tell me about a situation where you were caught between a tough spot.
- Can you share an instance where you were in a challenging predicament?
Relationship Manager
So I had this panel interview with like 20 other people, all applying for the same gig. The panel had 5 folks from KeyBank - 3 District Managers, 1 HR person, and 1 Regional Manager. It was in a corporate meeting room, super organized and professional, I was actually pretty impressed with how they ran things. We all sat down and chatted a bit while waiting. Definitely wear a suit and tie! The KeyBank people came in and explained everything. They said they'd go around and ask each of us a behavioral question, like 'Tell me about a time when...', and they'd ask for more details sometimes. Each person got asked 2 questions. Then they'd call out names to go to a side room. I didn't think I did well at all, and I told them that when they asked me. It was my first time doing a panel or behavioral interview, honestly.
- Can you describe your time management and follow up process, and provide an example?
- Tell me about a situation when...
- How do you feel you performed during this interview?
