Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at KeyBank.
Executive Assistant
I had a phone interview set up, but I had to chase the recruiter to make sure it was still happening. She ended up calling over 15 minutes late without any explanation or apology. To make things worse, she said I didn't send my resume, which was obviously not true, and it was clear she hadn't prepared at all. She just went through the typical HR questions like a robot instead of having a proper chat with someone who has a lot of experience. Honestly, this kind of process is a waste of time for good candidates, and it's clear we're not a match.
- A series of standard HR questions were asked.
Administrative Assistant
First, I had a quick phone call. Then I met with HR. After that, I had a big interview with about 7 people, it was pretty intense. They asked a lot about how I support teams and staff. It lasted about 1.5 hours and was mostly good. I learned about the banking industry and they learned about me. I think there was a background check too.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
Administrative Assistant
The interview process went very smoothly, with no issues. I was kept in close contact by the supervisor and recruiting throughout the hiring process, making it a seamless experience.
- Why do you feel you would be the best candidate for this position?
