Behavioral Technical

It started with two resume screens, one by HR and another by the coverage/product group. I passed both and then had an intro call with HR. After that, I had a first round interview with the VP of the M&A group, which was mostly behavioral with a few general valuation questions. The Superday consisted of 3 interviews, each lasting 30 minutes. It was pretty chill and included a mix of behavioral and technical questions focusing on accounting and valuation. I didn't get an offer, but it was a positive interview experience.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

This hiring process was a mess and dragged on forever. It felt unorganized and I'm not sure they even knew how many interviews they wanted to do. They'd disappear and then contact me again randomly. First, a recruiter chat about my background, if I'd fit in, and some basic accounting questions. Then, I met with different team members for discussions on stock pitches, current market events, accounting, and completed a take-home modeling assignment. Finally, there was a live modeling and writing test. The last interview was rough because the interviewer was supposed to send me case materials a few hours beforehand for reading and prep, but they sent it at 2 AM the morning of the interview, which was scheduled for early morning.

  • Are you keeping up with the overall market trends?
  • What is your level of understanding regarding the specific sector?
