Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Keppel Offshore & Marine.
Manager
Had a panel interview with more than 3 staff members. They weren't from the specific area I applied for, so I had to share more about my past experiences for them to decide if I was a good fit.
- What is your 5 year plan, considering both the East Coast and West Coast?
Management Trainee
Interviewed by the GM(O), General Manager of Operations. Asked a few standard interview questions, then told about the life of working in the shipyard. The GM(O) also gave a brief intro about the yard's background, history, and nature of work. The whole interview lasted 30 mins. We discussed a bit about the yard's projected and future direction.
- What motivated your interest in becoming a management trainee?
- What are your reasons for choosing Keppel Shipyard Tuas?
Management Trainee
We had our first interview over Zoom. The interviewers were really professional and seemed to know their stuff. They asked me some questions to get a better idea of what I was looking for before deciding if I'd move on to the next stage with a specific department.
- Which department do you feel would be a good fit for you?
