Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I was looking for entry-level jobs at Kenway when I was a senior. First, I had a quick chat with someone from a third-party HR company. Then, I had two video calls with Kenway's senior staff. These talks covered all the usual behavioral and experience questions. The last part was on-site in Chicago and included three interviews: a casual coffee chat, a deep dive into my behavior and experience, and a case study interview. The whole interview thing was pretty good; everyone I met was nice and seemed happy with their jobs at Kenway. It gave me a good feeling about the company, and I took the offer right away. It all took about 6 weeks from start to finish.

The interview process was very straight forward and transparent. First, I had a phone behavioral interview with a 3rd party HR analyst in which we talked about my experiences and why I was interested in Kenway. Following that, I had another behavioral interview with 3 different consultants at the office in which I did a case study and a test. A week after, I had a great & meet with one of the consultants, and another behavioral interview round with 2 senior management consultants at the office. The interview process was very smooth and everyone was very friendly.

It started with a regular HR screening, then I had an in-person interview. The interview itself was a bit strange; one of the leaders saw me and seemed to switch out one of the interviewers. The new person drilled down into very specific background details that didn't seem relevant to the job. They asked about personal favors and ethical situations I'd dealt with. They also asked surprisingly detailed questions about my Microsoft Office skills from way back in college, which felt a bit nitpicky. It felt like they were trying to catch me off guard with questions I couldn't have prepared for and scrutinize my resume.
