First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kent State.
Graduate Student
So I interviewed for grad school back in 2023. It was a pretty quick interview, actually. It involved a group of professors and some other students who were also interviewing. I thought it was cool how they had different types of questions and activities to really get a sense of everyone who was there.
- Can you demonstrate your ability to work effectively in a group?
Graduate Student
The application process was straightforward and positive. There wasn't an interview required to join the program. They were responsive to emails and answered all inquiries. The faculty were very friendly and helpful, supporting success in every way.
- The process was simple and good?
- There was no interview for the course?
Graduate Assistant
There is no interview process for being a graduate assistant. You must send them a statement of purpose and let that do the talking for you. Write a great letter, make sure that you have some good letters of recommendation, and make sure to send it in before the deadline. Finding a place to take the GRE can be hard, but study for it, and you'll do wonderfully.
- What makes you a strong candidate for this role?
