It was efficient and all virtual. I would recommend making sure you prep by having specific verbiage around your leadership style and examples of when you’ve used it and how it’s impacted the business. Business acumen is important to them. Be sure to know a lot about the company and Kendra!

The interview process was fine, honestly, everything was highly communicated and I have extensive background and knowledge in what they wanted in a candidate. The issue was when we FaceTimed for about an hour, but I had read her reviews and have come to the conclusion that this place is for people who look like they’ve come out of a sorority. I’m a brunette Hispanic looking female, so obviously I was not what they were looking for. I even went through their Instagram and they hire no minorities whatsoever. Don’t waste your time. I was highly offended and then, to make matters worse, when I emailed a follow-up, I never got a response after she told me we’d set up a date to meet with the store manager. I decided to call and she told me that “oh, we picked another candidate, but thank you for your time.” I’ve looked online and come to find out they’re still hiring! It sucks that not everyone looks like a Barbie sorority girl, but that shouldn’t matter, isn’t Kendra Scott all about hiring beyond your resume? The store manager I interacted with gave a very horrible representation of what the company is supposed to stand for.

I was contacted about a store manager job more than a year before the store was set to open. I met with the hiring manager a few times before the official interviews started, and I really thought I was the top choice. There were 3 interview rounds. The hiring manager gave me good feedback after the first two, making me feel like the job was mine. But after the third interview, the hiring manager and HR just ghosted me. I didn't hear anything for over a week, and then HR finally called to say I didn't get the job. I got no explanation for why I wasn't chosen and was treated really badly when I asked for feedback or if there was a lower position I could fill if they thought I wasn't ready for store manager. HR said they'd check and get back to me, but I never heard from them again.
