First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kendra Scott.
Sales Associate
Super easy process! They went over my resume, and I had one interview about my experience, and they hired me on the spot. The questions were easy, mostly about my resume and how I handled conflict with a customer. The manager was great, and the onboarding was a simple online process.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to resolve a customer complaint?
- Could you tell me about your resume?
- How have you handled customer conflict in the past?
Sales Associate
It was just one zoom call. It was really just a personality interview. Try not to think too much about typical behavioral questions, they really just want someone they can connect with. Definitely familiarize yourself with the brand though, it was important to know about their philosophy
- What are the company's principles?
Sales Associate
I was excited to apply to Kendra Scott and waited almost a month with no reply. I had to find a contact to email my resume. Finally got in contact with a hiring manager who contacted the local manager and let me know she'd be with me soon. Four days later I get an email for an interview later that week. I showed up early, wore jewelry, and felt I answered questions thoughtfully, but the manager seemed disengaged. The assistant manager asked in-depth retail questions mixed with a few oddballs. The interview was a bit short. I sent a thank you email two days later, but didn't hear back about the job until a week later. They said they were impressed but moved forward with someone else. I sensed the manager wasn't interested from the start. I don't know if they were tired, but I didn't feel like I had their full attention.
- Can you describe a stressful situation you encountered at a previous job?
- Suppose you were an accessory, which one would you choose to be and explain your reasoning.
