First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kelly.
Laboratory Technician
First, there was a phone call where they went over the job details, pay, and benefits. Then, the hiring manager called to talk about your skills and experience related to the job posting. They might also ask about your education and background, especially if the job involves handling sensitive information or has specific record requirements.
- How many years of experience do you have in this field?
- What is your educational background?
- Tell me about your skills and experience relevant to this role.
Technician
Had a quick phone call with the manager, who runs the operations on site. It was a phone interview only, didn't have any in-person interviews, this was during covid-19. But it was very professional.
- What's your approach to handling workplace conflict with a co-worker?
Technician
The job posting seemed promising. Initially, I spoke with Kelly Services, who indicated my qualifications were a strong match for the advertised role. Subsequently, the employer conducted an interview. A key requirement is to work at a different business in another State for potentially a year or more before being permitted to work for them in a different State. Kelly Services advertised a Tech job requiring maximum experience, but I was interviewed for an Engineering job needing minimal expertise by someone who had no prior experience in the role. This might explain their high turnover. Many professionals criticize these engineers annually, from September to November, for being out of touch with their manuals and procedures.
