Kearney Research Analyst Interview Questions
& Process

I had an interview with 3 consultants about the project. They asked about my fit for the role, why I was interested in Kearney and consulting, and why I was a good candidate. We discussed my data analysis skills and any direct experience I had with web crawling and big data handling. They also asked behavioral questions and did a resume walkthrough. Finally, there was a business case interview related to the project situation.

Applied through a staffing agency in March 2022, and the whole interview process was pretty fast, wrapping up in about 10 days with four rounds. You get feedback within 1-2 business days after each round. The RA interview mixes logical reasoning, case studies, and a personality test, with no written exam. Case studies are done on the spot during the interview. Round 1 covers basic industry questions, like creating a TOC or SWOT analysis for a company, and discusses your past work and projects. Round 2 is technical, involving case studies, guesstimates, and a check on your project approach and understanding of industry trends. Round 3 is behavioral, focusing on 'Why Kearney?' (backed by facts, not clichés) and reasons for changing jobs, plus how you'd handle hypothetical scenarios. Round 4 is a short (20-30 min) chat with the Global Research Director, more about fit, and your chance to ask insightful questions about the company. Be yourself, ask questions proactively, think practically, not bookishly, and believe in yourself.

The interview process had four rounds. The first round involved discussing three of my projects and past work. Then, there was a telephonic interview that covered my work and projects, along with some basic HR questions like why I'm looking to switch jobs and my five-year career goals.
