First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kearney.
Manager
This was one of the messiest interview processes I've been through with a big consulting firm. A recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn and we did an initial screening call over Zoom. It seemed to go okay, so then I was set up to talk with two managing directors. Both of those interviews got rescheduled, which was fine, but then one of them got totally canceled. I actually had to chase someone down to find out it was off after the new invite didn't show up. It was weird because there were multiple recruiters involved, so I never knew who to bug. They never even had me officially apply through an ATS, which was odd. I took time off work for an interview with a managing director, and it didn't go badly at all, but then I got totally ghosted by all three of my recruiter contacts. No feedback, no rejection, just silence even after I followed up a bunch. Ghosting after a phone screen is one thing, but after taking time off for an MD interview, it's pretty bad form to just disappear. Anyway, the whole process felt really disorganized and not well thought out. They could probably use some consultants to help them set up some standard operating procedures.

Senior Manager
The HR team communicated really well and kept in touch. The process was pretty standard: three interviews plus one with a partner. Each interview had a case study part and a personal part. They used both German and English during the interviews.
- Can you share a challenging experience you've faced?
Office Manager
The interview was virtual and had no surprises, with standard questions. It was a one-on-one with HR who was friendly and relaxed. The next step was supposed to be an interview with the CEO. I decided not to move forward, but the company seemed great.
