First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Keadjian Associates.
Account Executive
The interview process was straightforward and I felt informed of the process as I went through it. It started with a screening call from the recruiter who confirmed my background, and then I was set up with an interview with two current employees. I took a writing test and had a benefits call and then did another interview with two members of the leadership team and received an offer within a day. The people who interviewed me were warm and welcoming, but also asked challenging questions. My recruiter made me feel empowered throughout the interview process and like she was my advocate.
- What motivates your interest in joining Keadjian?
Account Executive
The recruiter reached out. After a quick call, I went on-site for interviews with the head of the firm and two team members. The questions were pretty standard, but the vibe felt skeptical and negative. The founder kept asking why I was leaving my job after only 18 months and doubted my experience. They even questioned if I wrote my own work, which I had client approval for, as if they thought a junior person couldn't do good writing. It wasn't a hard interview, and we had some good chats, but some parts were weird. The next day, they asked me to come back for a writing test, which wasn't mentioned before and caught me off guard. I told the recruiter it wasn't a good fit because they questioned my honesty, integrity, and skills. The writing test request confirmed what I'd read and felt during the interview.
- What's your reason for leaving your current role?
Account Executive
This was hands-down the worst interview experience I've ever had. It was super chaotic and disorganized, and honestly felt more like bullying than an actual interview. It also made me wonder if ageism is back in style? Maybe you should provide some coaching for your employees who are conducting interviews. They asked me some really ignorant questions about my age and how long I've been in my career, or if I felt overqualified for the role based on my past positions, which was just disgusting and ageist. On top of that, having someone who wasn't even related to the role join the TEAMS chat just to stare at me and ask equally dumb questions to 'kill time' was incredibly annoying. And it was really weird that they wouldn't disclose their clients or any projects; I'm guessing maybe they don't actually have any? They acted like they were on some super-secret mission. It was a truly bizarre interview with a lot of snark and sarcasm. It's embarrassing that this person has their name on this company.
- Isn't it possible you're a bit too overqualified for this position?
