First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at KBW.
Investment Banking Analyst
It started with a quick HireVue, then moved to an in-person Superday. The team really wants to know why you're interested in Atlanta and your past finance experience. The Atlanta team I interviewed with was very MD-heavy, with maybe one VP (who might be a director now). Overall, you'll get great exposure to senior bankers.

Investment Banking Analyst
I applied online via my school's career services. It took about two weeks to hear back and they scheduled an on-campus interview about 10 days later. The first round was a 30-minute, 2-on-1 interview, with a mix of behavioral and technical questions. Behavioral questions were pretty standard: why KBW, why IB, biggest weakness, and what about me isn't on my resume (that one stumped me a bit). Technicals started easy, but be ready to explain any valuation multiples you bring up and what makes them change between similar companies.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in KBW?
- What valuation multiples would you use to value a company?
Investment Banking Analyst
I applied through handshake and then had an in-person interview on campus with an associate that was both behavioral and technical. After that, I had a super day in NYC. It had six separate interviews, mostly with MDs, then one with an analyst and associate. This was mostly behavioral.
