Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at KBW.
Intern
The interview process included two rounds. The first round was with an Associate, where you were asked general questions and to pitch a stock. The second round was with the Hiring Manager (HOR) and also required a stock pitch.
- Can you pitch a stock for me?
- What is a company you've been following recently?
Intern
It was an awesome experience with a great team. They really care about you as a person instead of all the technical bs. You get to talk with everyone in the office to make sure they like you and you like them.
- How do current markets affect their business and transactions?
Investment Banking Intern
The first round was a HireVue where I had to answer 6 behavioral questions, 1 question about my location preference, and complete 3 mini-games. It was pretty cool that I could retry each question up to 3 times, but unfortunately, I never heard back from them.
- Can you share an instance when you needed to acquire a new skill?
