Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kaufman Hall.
Senior Associate
The process included two behavioral interviews on campus. The second round was a technical interview and more behavioral interviews in Chicago. They covered travel expenses, including your hotel and meals, for the second round.
- Can you tell me about your interest in healthcare?
Associate
I had a few phone interviews and then one in-person interview. It was pretty easy, they cared more about your personality than your skills. Just make sure you can talk about your past experience and how it would be useful for the job at Kaufman.
- What motivates you?
Associate
The initial stage was a very casual phone chat with a recruiter, which led to an offer for a second round. The subsequent in-office session involved five interviews with individuals ranging from senior associates to a managing director. These included three behavioral interviews (one structured, two unstructured), a lengthy case study, and an Excel and math assessment. Despite the long afternoon, the conversations were engaging and friendly, with interviewers focusing on assessing personality. The recruiters were very communicative and pleasant throughout. An offer was extended via email six days after the final interviews.
- Can you share an experience where you had to speak in public? Describe your preparation and approach to handling it.
