the first step was a phone screening. it took quite a bit of chasing to get it scheduled, but the conversation itself was pretty relaxed. the person interviewing me was really friendly and nice. they asked the typical questions like 'tell me about yourself' and 'what do you know about this company,' along with a few behavioral ones.

Behavioral

It was a multi-stage interview process, starting with a recruiter call and then moving on to about 3 or 4 more rounds with different people on the team. It's an entry-level role, so most of the questions were behavioral. Everyone I spoke with was really nice and got back to me when I followed up.

It began with a recruiter screening call, followed by three interviews with the hiring manager. The first interview with the manager was pretty standard, covering my resume and the job responsibilities. I should have paid more attention to some red flags, but I brushed them off. The second interview, scheduled for 30 minutes, started 20 minutes late and ran for over an hour and a half. The manager even brought in another team member who I hadn't heard about before, and this person had no context on me or my resume. No new questions or information were exchanged, it was just a repeat of the first interview. Some other concerning things the manager said were: 'I'll be calling and texting you throughout the day' (when the rest of the team uses Teams), 'I don't want you having a second job or freelance gigs', 'the recruiter said she saw someone walk by in your background', and 'I keep everything in my head' when asked about organization. The third interview was more of the same, though I almost skipped it. They ghosted us afterwards.

A recruiter found me for this role. Everyone I spoke with was really nice and gave me great feedback. I didn't end up getting the job, but it was a good experience overall. The process was pretty straightforward. I had an initial chat with a recruiter, then interviewed with two people who would be my teammates. There would have been another interview, but they decided my background was a bit too creative for the administrative tasks involved.
