It was a pretty chill chat, not much about Katten specifically, just a quick 20-min screener. They mostly asked general stuff about why I'm into law, what I've done before, and my college background. Just remember to prep one question to ask them.

The interview process was pretty standard. It started with a phone screen. After that, there were three separate 1-on-1 interviews. They did a good job keeping me informed about when I'd hear back and were open to answering my questions.

Behavioral Technical

I had a phone screening that was pretty quick and easy, mostly to check if I understood the role. After that, I had an hour-long session with the whole team, which involved three separate interviews with four people. The questions were pretty standard and not too challenging. I waited three weeks for feedback. It was a typical process, though they weren't very communicative about what to expect.

It was informal and flowed like a discussion with major partners. The main thing was coordination. I had to fly to Chicago, and they covered first-class travel and accommodations. Financials are really important here, and culture and personality aren't as critical. They have good lawyers, with some coming from the entertainment industry. They tend to work in small teams, and since there aren't many big meetings, your interpersonal skills with laterals and staff aren't super critical.
