I had an in-person interview with the store manager, and then a phone call with the area manager. It was pretty relaxed for both. After the area manager's call, they offered me the job. We both started with a quick 'tell me about yourself' bit, then they asked about my past jobs and why I was interested in this specific job and company.

The interviewer was very rude and mean. They called me ten minutes after opening. The interviewer started by saying the qualifications changed that day to require 2-3 years of management experience. When I asked why they wanted to interview me, they said they wanted to get to know me. The interviewer then insulted me, saying the store was too small for me, I was too young to manage a store, I couldn't manage like them, I wasn't pretty enough, I was a loser, and I shouldn't apply until I had 3 years of management experience. I have worked in sales for 4 years with handbags and have extensive product knowledge, and I am comfortable learning about other leathers, fabrics, and their care.

I sent in my application online, and a few days later, they rang me up to arrange an in-person interview. They asked me a couple of questions on the phone before we scheduled the meeting. When I went in, I met with the store manager. After that initial chat, I had a second interview with the store manager from a different store, and this one was over the phone. Then, I had one last interview, also over the phone, with the district manager for the store where I'd be working. A few days after that, they called me with a job offer. The whole thing took about two and a half weeks, and each chat went for at least an hour.
