Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kaseya.
QA Engineer
The overall process was great and communication was good throughout. I was kept informed about all the requirements. It took about 3 weeks from applying to signing the contract. I appreciated the motivational emails I received after each stage.
- Describe a time you made a mistake at work and how you handled it.
Senior QA Engineer
The interview process involves more than 3-4 rounds, and they still seem unsure about hiring. HR rushes to schedule calls without considering candidate availability, sometimes even late at night (10:30 PM IST). If an interviewer can't make it, there's no follow-up, requiring rescheduling. Interviewers are often 15-20 minutes late, citing other meetings. After three rounds, they rejected me without any feedback on why. They also hinted at needing to work late and on weekends if selected.
- Can you describe the standard QA process?
- What is your experience with automation?
- How would you go about implementing automation for this project?
QA Engineer
I got through the technical round and they invited me for a managerial round at Dundalk office. The interviewers were a senior QA manager and a Manual Test Engineer. The senior manager rejected me because they said the job was for a manual tester, and I am an automation tester.
- Can you explain basic testing concepts?
- What do you know about performance testing?
- Describe a challenging test case you've handled.
