First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Karvy Stock Broking.
Financial Advisor
I applied via email and got a call for an interview. First, I interviewed with HR, and then with the business head. Like many brokers, they expected me to bring customers from past roles, which felt unethical, but it was relevant to sales. Both HR and the business head assured me I'd get the job. After some follow-ups, I was told it was still being processed. Eventually, I heard nothing and didn't receive an offer.

It started with an online exam covering aptitude, English (grammar, communication skills), accounting, general knowledge, and current affairs. Then there was a Group Discussion on a general topic, followed by a Technical interview focusing on finance, derivatives, current affairs, and basic knowledge. Finally, a personal interview included self-introduction, project discussions, and basic questions.
- Can you explain what a merger and demerger is?
Financial Advisor
We started with a group discussion and a written test covering stock market basics, aptitude, and English. Then, there was a manager round where they asked about my resume, past experience, and current events. The final interview was with the Vice President, and they asked about everything from my background to in-depth financial and marketing ideas.
