It was pretty brief, mostly just questions about my resume and how I approach problems. It felt like a behavioral interview, but honestly, they probably just wanted to see how my experiences related to the job. It was tough though because the role details were super vague.

It felt more like an interrogation. They asked about my Abitur (high school diploma) achievements, which were from several years ago (and not bad at all). My very good university grades weren't that interesting though...

  • In your Abitur, subject XY was your worst. Why did you decide to study in this field?

So basically the hiring manager and the HR manager were there. The hiring manager started by asking me to introduce myself. I talked about the CCAs I was involved in during university and how they equipped me with useful skills. Then the hiring manager explained the role and my responsibilities. He asked about my living situation, maybe to gauge my commute time. After that, he inquired about my NS experience, including my posting and duties. He was really curious why I chose this job; I felt my answer about aligning with my interests wasn't strong enough because he pointed out other companies might offer similar work. That was a tough one. He then asked me to rate my discipline. The entire chat lasted about 30 minutes. I finished with a handshake.
