I applied through LinkedIn and they got back to me really fast. The whole process was super easy and quick. It involved a recruiter call, then a chat with the hiring manager, and finally an interview with the department director. Each call was about 30-40 minutes long.

I spoke with two product development team members who told me about the role and asked about my background, my studies, and why I want to work in fashion. It was a friendly and professional chat, and I felt comfortable talking with them. I thought it was great how they got back to me so fast after the interview, making it feel like a really smooth and put-together process.

Behavioral Other

It was a very weird and unprofessional experience. They first said it was a marketing internship, but then during the interview, they said it's actually a licensing internship. During the interview, two ladies exchanged looks whenever I said something they didn't like or understand. They weren't prepared and sometimes looked at each other to come up with new questions. The most annoying part is that I never heard anything after the interview, it's been 3 months. They also wanted a student for a full-time job, to come 5 days a week, 8 hours every day, but it had to be a student, full-time.

Technical Other

After being invited to their office for a face-to-face meeting, I never heard anything back. I was ghosted after the final round. They had me complete an easy Excel assessment on their laptop, which was inconvenient because they don't use Macs. Personally, the type of laptops they use could be a reason not to work there. I thought the assessment was a waste since if it's easy, does it matter if you already know how to do it? What value does it add? Shouldn't there be room for growth in the position? What's in it for the candidate? I noticed these skills are easily learned, especially if someone has a good background for the role. It was a waste of time overall.
