I'm pretty disappointed with how this hiring process went down. I interviewed for this job over a month ago and they told me it would probably take a couple of weeks to hear back. Well, it's been way over a month and I haven't heard anything, not even a rejection. I checked LinkedIn and it looks like they hired someone internally for the role (they were already at Kaplan). It makes me wonder why they even bothered interviewing external people if they already had someone in mind. The interview itself was mostly competency-based questions, like 8-10 of them. I admit I didn't have direct experience for everything they asked about, but I was upfront about that. Still, the lack of communication and transparency has been a bummer. Honestly, given this experience, I'd think twice about recommending applying here because it says a lot about how they treat candidates.

First, I submitted an online application, which was pretty standard. Then, I had a 30-minute initial phone screen where they asked basic questions like 'tell me about yourself,' my interest in the role, and my background. They also discussed the job and the hiring timeline. Finally, I had an in-person interview with the hiring manager and a colleague. We talked a lot about my experience, my ability to handle a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and my general interest in education.

It was a three-stage process. First, I spoke with the hiring manager, then a supporting director. Finally, there was a round table with current coordinators where I could ask them questions. I liked that I could ask the current coordinators questions; it showed the company is transparent.
