The interview process began with a 30-minute TA interview via MS Teams. We chatted about my background, experience, and why I was interested in the job. The TA was nice and made it easy to talk. Then, for the second stage, I got a case study the day before my interview with the Director. Because I've worked in consulting, I felt ready and did a detailed analysis for the case study. I presented my findings and suggestions. Although I thought I did okay, the feedback said my approach was too 'academic,' and they seemed to want something more practical. Even with my experience, I didn't get the job.

The process was standard. It started with a video recorded interview, then an assessment, and finally an in-person case study plus an individual interview. HR was upfront before the last round that the offered salary would be $3600, with no room for negotiation. Although the pay was low, it seemed like a good learning opportunity. What was disappointing, though, was that after dedicating so much time to the process, HR didn't bother to communicate a rejection. I only found out I didn't make the cut after following up, and my request for feedback was ignored.

The interview process involved a written test and an interview, followed by a lengthy back-and-forth with HR. They are quite slow, which is concerning given the dynamic nature of the required roles. I wouldn't recommend joining this company because the workload doesn't align with the compensation. Researchers currently do more work than management consultants but are paid significantly less. This is a common issue in research companies, but IMRB, under its new CEO, is worsening in terms of employee care and satisfaction. While the business is doing well, the future workforce is uncertain.
